SOLD: 1965 MERCEDES-BENZ 220 4 SPEED. We understand that the owner has had the vehicle since new. The car has undergone a complete body shell restoration and ongoing mechanical service and restoration by Mercedes Canada. Interior The interior is completely original. All seating positions are in low wear, tear free condition. The door trim panels are in very good, low wear condition. The rubber floor mat is in good tear free condition. The roof liner is in very good tear free condition. The fascia crash pad is in good crack free condition, the wood veneer trim finish has faded. Body and Paint The paint finish is a repaint in very clean, bright condition. The body has been restored employing new front fenders, rebuilt rockers and a complete repaint. Both front fenders, inner fenders and the hood are in good corrosion and damage free condition. The grill chrome finish is pitted. The door skins are in very clean corrosion free condition. The rocker panels have been rebuilt. The rocker panels and the floor pan are in clean condition, the floor has been protected with an undercoat application. The rear quarter panels are in clean damage free condition. The trunk lid is in good solid condition, there is one area of bubbling on the lower left edge. The front bumper has tired chrome finish, the right end is corroded. The rear bumper is in very good damage free condition. The light fittings and lenses are in good crack free condition. Mechanical The car starts and runs very smoothly. The owner has a full mechanical service history since new. All service has been carried out at Mercedes Benz Canada including a complete engine rebuild. The car is fitted with a set of steel rims with chrome hub caps. |
