The Original Sleeper
Description
SOLD: 1961 DODGE POLARA 500 RAM INDUCTION. Sourced in Colorado in 2005.Rust-free southern example, excellent inside & out and underneath. It was originally sold by a Whittier California dealer. It is a nice driving and powerful car and gets a lot of attention at car shows. A lot of the MoPar guys have never seen the Ram Induction set-up, or for that matter a '61 Polara, as the Polara wasn't sold in Canada that year. It has been documented by Bruce Thomas of the Chrysler Historical Division and it appears in Daryl Davis' book, "The 1961 Dodge 383 D-500 Guide". According to Davis there were only eleven built with these specs and according to Canadian MoPar aficionados it's the only one in Canada and possible the only original survivor.
