FOR SALE: 1960 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II LWB James Young Limousine
This is a formal vehicle with full convenience for the rear passengers. The normal power operated dividing window separates the rear from the chauffeur in the front. The divider has extensive wood veneer for the radio speaker and the picnic tables. To say that you can feel like royalty in this vehicle is an understatement.
The interior trim is the original Connolly leather with a deep maroon carpet. The leather, while not being perfect, presents very well. The wood veneer trim on the divider, the window surround, the waist rail and the fascia is in excellent condition. The roof liner is the original West of England cloth. The body is in excellent condition.
As most of this vehicle is fabricated from aluminium panels, there is minimal chances of corrosion and this one has none. The steel front fenders and rear fenders are in excellent corrosion free condition. As can be seen from the photographs of the frame and suspension components, the underside has been maintained in the same manner as the body. Mechanically, the car is in excellent condition with a long service history with Gus Sandusky at Ken Browne Motors.
This car was built for the RR stand at the Earl’s Court Exhibition in 1959, the chassis number is LCA 2. Treat yourself to this exceptional opportunity to own a coach built Rolls-Royce classic with a formal limousine configuration.
