Originally from Texas USA. The car has 57,076 original miles, has been adequately maintained over the years, but not restored. The timing chain was replaced at 50,000 miles, the clutch has been replaced, along with the cylinder head (the original head had warped after a radiator hose leaked) the water pump was replaced by Smallys Garage in Watkins Glen, New York and it has new tires, the alternator has been replaced with a Nissan unit.
Items along with the sale are original Lotus Workshop and Parts Manuals, the original alternator, radio and cylinder head.Two new Rocker (Valve) Cover Gaskets. Also there is a custom car cover.
There is a ready parts supply for these Esprit Models from PNM Engineering, in Wallasey, Cheshire, U.K. and at last enquiry (April 2015) there was a stock of 7,000 parts.
